In the News: Richard Jacroux as an Award Winning educator at the University of Washington

Honored to carry on the legacy of Alan Leong, Richard Jacroux teaches course New Technology & Future Markets to support budding entrepreneurs

In October of 2023, the University of Washington’s entrepreneurship community suffered a great loss, as lecturer Alan Leong passed away after a long battle with cancer. His course New Technology & Future Markets was an incredible catalyst for many students who went on to start award winning ventures such as Adam Greenberg who founded agritech organization IUNU, and Adina Mangubat who started revolutionary carbon capture company, AirMiners.

When Alan asked Richard Jacroux to take over the course in 2021, Richard was more than honored. The class is forward thinking, analyzing trends in global markets and encouraging students to fill in the gaps they find. Current students are empowered by the course, as Richard encourages students to pursue their passions with plenty of support from entrepreneurship ecosystems that previous students continue to foster. Through this course and its dedicated community, Richard hopes to support the next generation of changemakers.
